Enterprise Generation Language (EGL) is a programming language that you can use to focus on business problems instead of software technologies. Within the Rational® development environment, you can use EGL wizards and other tools to write complex applications with minimal effort.

        getTextSelectionEnabled()
        The system function getTextSelectionEnabled() indicates whether the user can select text from a Rich UI handler or widget that you are developing. By default, the user cannot select text, but you can change the behavior of the application by setting setTextSelectionEnabled().
        getTheme()
        The ruiLib.getTheme() system function returns the current value of the theme property of a Rich UI application. For details, see “Themes to use with your Rich UI application.”
        getTitle()
        The ruiLib.getTitle() system function returns the current value of the title property of a Rich UI application.
        getUserAgent()
        The system function ruiLib.getUserAgent() provides access to the value of the HTTP header HTTP_USER_AGENT, which is sent by the user's browser during application invocation. The value is useful if you need to write code that varies by browser type or version.
        setTextSelectionEnabled()
        The system function ruiLib.setTextSelectionEnabled() sets a value that specifies whether the user is able to select text in a Rich UI handler or widget that you are developing.
        setTheme()
        The ruiLib.setTheme() system function sets the theme property of the Rich UI application. For an overview, see “Themes to use with your Rich UI application.”
        setTitle()
        The ruiLib.setTitle() system function sets the title property of the Rich UI application.
        sort()
        The system function ruiLib.sort() repeatedly invokes a secondary sort function, first with array elements 1 and 2, then with elements 2 and 3, and so on. The invocations of the secondary sort function continue and repeat, as necessary, until the array reflects the requirement specified in that secondary function, which you develop.

        The DojoLib library includes constants and validation functions used by the EGL Dojo widgets. The library is not a system library, and its use has prerequisites.

setTitle()

The ruiLib.setTitle() system function sets the title property of the Rich UI application.

The title property specifies the string that is displayed in the title bar of the browser.

If you want to localize the content of the title property, you can use a key from a Rich UI properties library as the parameter in the function call. For more information, see "Examples" in this topic and RUIPropertiesLibrary stereotype.

Syntax

  ruiLib.setTitle("title")

title: A STRING value that is to be used in the HTML <title> tag, and therefore is displayed in the title bar of the browser.

Examples

The first example places a literal string in the <title> tag of the page.

ruiLib.setTitle("Home page for EGL Rich UI");

The second example uses a key from a Rich UI properties library instead.
