conversionTable in asynchLink element
The conversionTable property of the asynchLink element
in the linkage options part specifies the name of the conversion table
that is used to convert parameter data when the program uses the vgLib.startTransaction system
function. The conversionTable property is
meaningful only if all the following are true:
- The started program is on CICS®
- The value of type is
remote - The started program runs on a platform that supports the ASCII character set
The default is that no conversion occurs, in which case the program must perform any required conversion by calling sysLib.convert or by defining a conversion template to CICS®.
You can specify one of the following values:
- conversion table name
- The originating platform uses the conversion table specified. For a list of tables, see Data conversion.
- *
- Use the default conversion table. The name of that table is ELACNxxx, where the value of xxx is the value of the targetNLS build descriptor option.
- PROGRAMCONTROLLED
- The caller uses the conversion table name that is in the sysVar.callConversionTable system variable at run time. If sysVar.callConversionTable contains blanks, no conversion occurs.
For further details, see Data conversion; see also the topics "convert()" and "callConversionTable" in the EGL Language Reference.
