    In a software analysis, a configurable set of coding rules is applied to a specified group of source code files. Results are generated that identify lines of source code that violate a rule.

Opening the window

About this task

You can open the software analysis configuration window in the following contexts: from the main toolbar, from the project explorer view, or from the navigator view.

Procedure

On the main toolbar:
1. Click the down arrow beside Software Analyzer .
2. Click Software Analyzer Configurations.
In the project explorer view:
1. Right-click a project, a folder, or a source code file.
2. Click Software Analysis > Software Analysis Configurations.
In the navigator view:
1. Right-click a project, a folder, or a source code file.
2. Click Software Analysis > Software Analysis Configurations.

Results

The software analysis configuration window opens.
