        The javaLib library access local Java® objects and classes through your generated Java™ code.

dateValue()

The dateTimeLib.dateValue() system function returns a DATE value that corresponds to a STRING variable. EGL maintains this function for compatibility only; in new code, you can simply assign a character value to a DATE variable. See Converting text to date/time types.

Syntax

  dateTimeLib.dateValue(dateAsString STRING? in)
  returns (result DATE?)

dateAsString: A string constant or literal containing digits.
result: A DATE variable. If dateAsString has a null value, the function returns a null value.
