To view the contents of a Db2® table or view, use the FM/Db2 View Utility (option 1), the FM/Db2 Edit Utility (option 2), or the FM/Db2 Browse Utility (option B).

Materialized query tables

If you want to edit objects of type, MATERIALIZED QUERY, then the object must be defined with the DEFERRED refresh mode and with the MAINTAINED BY USER option. If these criteria are not satisfied, the user cannot edit the object, and the VIEW/EDIT session is substituted with a BROWSE session. A message is issued informing the user that the VIEW/EDIT session type is not supported for the object with the current refresh mode and maintenance settings.
