Creating a new index directory data set

About this task

The Index list panel is displayed the first time the XFind command is invoked or subsequently by specifying the I parameter with the XFind command:

To create a new index directory data set, complete the following steps:

Procedure

Enter a new index directory data set name and press Enter. In the following example, the new index directory data set name is FMN.XFIND.INDEX.DIR

Allocate the index directory file.

Press Enter. The new data set is allocated.
