Changing column attributes

Attributes are used to determine how to display, print, or create a column.

To change a column attribute, use the Column Selection/Edit panel and enter E in the Cmd field against one or more columns. For each column you select, FM/Db2 displays a Column Attributes panel.

The attributes you can change are:
  • Column heading
  • Output width
  • Whether to show leading zeros (numeric columns)
  • Values to use for creating new columns
Note:
  1. For numeric, DATE, TIME, and TIMESTAMP columns, you can change the column heading as for an alphanumeric column.
  2. For DATE, TIME, and TIMESTAMP columns, you can change the output width as for an alphanumeric column.
  3. For very long columns, change the display width to a smaller value to see more data on the display.
