Host installation and configuration

For File Manager clients to communicate with your z/OS® system, you must first configure the ADFz Common Components server. For a full description of how to do this, see Customizing the ADFzCC server. To establish connection, File Manager plug-in users must know the IP address of your z/OS® system and the port number where the ADFzCC server is listening.

For users of the Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) view, the RSE server must be configured so that it knows the port number of the ADFzCC server running on the system. To do this, define a variable called PD_SERVER_PORT in your RSE server environment by adding this statement in the rse.env configuration file:
PD_SERVER_PORT=xxxx
where xxxx is an integer port number of the ADFzCC server.

For information about how to change your RSE environment, see IBM® Developer for z/OS Host Configuration Guide.
