The STDENV environment variables for Abend Intelligence

When IBM Fault Analyzer for z/OS Abend Intelligence real-time host-based AI analysis is enabled, a BPXBATCH job is automatically submitted via the IDISUEAN Notification user exit to process fault data through a Python engine. The STDENV DD statement in this job points to a fixed-block 80 (FB 80) data set containing environmental settings and large language model (LLM) credentials. The data set name (and member name, if a PDS/E) is specified via the STDENV_TO_USE option in the IDISUEAN exec. See a sample value and description for the STDENV_TO_USE option in instfaidita.html#instfai__table_idisuean_vars.

Sample STDENV data set environment variable specifications:
_BPX_SHAREAS=YES
WATSONX_API_KEY=your_api_key
WATSONX_PROJECT_ID=your_project_id
where, _BPX_SHAREAS=YES is required to read the report, and the WATSONX_API_KEY and WATSONX_PROJECT_ID are used to connect your watsonx.ai user. For details refer to the IBM watsonx documentation.
Important:
The STDENV data set must be protected with RACF UACC(NONE) to prevent unauthorized access to API credentials. For long values exceeding 80 characters, enable Language Environment continuation by placing a backslash (\) at column 80.
