You can configure Rational® ClearQuest® to prefill field values when opening the creation dialogs for associated OSLC 2.0 projects. Using Rational® ClearQuest® to prefill OSLC 2.0-linked records

You can configure Rational® ClearQuest® to prefill field values when opening the creation dialogs for associated OSLC 2.0 projects. When a creation dialog displays, values for designated fields in the new record are initialized using content from configured fields of the initiating Rational® ClearQuest® record.

The oslc-mappings.xml configuration file controls the prefill function. The oslc-mappings.xml configuration file is located in this directory:

profile root\installedApps\cell\TeamEAR.ear\cqweb.war\WEB-INF\classes

where:

profile root is the root directory of the Rational® ClearQuest® is deployed.
cell is the name of the WebSphere® cell directory.

The oslc-mappings.xml configuration file has example entries that are commented out. To enable the prefill functionality, copy the sample entries and then make the changes that are appropriate for your environment. For the changes to take effect after you save the changes, you must restart the Rational® ClearQuest® enterprise application.

You can prefill creation dialog boxes from Rational® ClearQuest® with the OSLC 2.0 providers IBM® Rational Team Concert™ and Rational® ClearQuest®. According to the OSLC 2.0 specification, prefilling creation dialog boxes is an optional capability. Prefilling creation dialog boxes from ClearQuest® works if the OSLC 2.0 provider implements the optional OSLC 2.0 prefill specification.
