        Silently installing a DevOps product from a shared network drive
        This procedure has three parts: downloading the installation files, recording a response file, and running the silent installation. IBM Installation Manager is used only to record the response file.
        Recording a response file
        Silent installs require a response file. You can download a sample response file, manually create a response file, or record a response file with Installation Manager. Recording a response file, unlike the other methods, requires that Installation Manager be installed.
        Running the silent install
        After you create a response file, you run the silent install.

        Use these instructions to install your DevOps products on additional computers or for users installing on their local computer.

    Use IBM Installation Manager to run a silent install of a DevOps product. When you run a silent install, the Installation Manager interface is not available. Installation Manager uses a response file that contains commands required to install the product package.

Silently installing a DevOps product from a shared network drive

This procedure has three parts: downloading the installation files, recording a response file, and running the silent installation. IBM Installation Manager is used only to record the response file.

Procedure

Download the DevOps product from IBM® Passport Advantage®. Download the IBM Installation Manager and Packaging Utility; see technote 609575.
Extract the installation files for both the DevOps product and Installation Manager to a shared network drive. Here are some examples of directories on the shared network drive that contain the extracted files:
Windows™ systems

C:\installation_files\EnterpriseCD-platform\InstallationManager
```
Locate the agent.installer.platform-version.zip file in the InstallationManager directory. Extract this file to the InstallationManager directory.
