Restoring a deleted user database

When you restore a deleted user database, you restore the link between the user database and the schema repository.

Before you begin

The user database can be restored by re-creating the link between it and the schema repository provided all of the following conditions are true:
  • The user database has not been physically deleted.
  • The schema version associated with the database has not been deleted.
  • You have not upgraded to a newer version of Rational® ClearQuest®.

Procedure

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. In the Rational® ClearQuest® Schema Repository Explorer view, click on the schema repository where you want to restore the user database.
  3. Click View > Rational® ClearQuest® Database Admin. The Rational® ClearQuest® Database Admin view opens.
  4. In the Rational® ClearQuest® Database Admin view, click the Show deleted databases button.
User databases that you have deleted now appear in the Rational® ClearQuest® Database Admin view, marked by a red icon.
  5. Right-click the database that you want to restore and click Undelete.
If the restore operation is successful, the database now appears in the Rational® ClearQuest® Database Admin View without the red icon.
