Important notes for planning DevOps Code ClearCase® upgrades

Before you begin the upgrade process, review information about known issues and limitations, gathering required information, and completing any necessary system configuration changes.

To run Rational® ClearQuest® on the same computer with DevOps Code ClearCase®, both products must be at the same version level.
When upgrading to DevOps Code ClearCase® V8.0.x and Rational® ClearQuest® V8.0.x on a client host that has earlier versions of the applications installed, the earlier versions are uninstalled automatically. The Websphere Application Server components that were embedded in earlier releases are also uninstalled.
If you plan to upgrade the servers, upgrade them in the following order: the license server, the registry server, the VOB, and view servers.
Before upgrading to a new release, complete all deliver operations that are in progress.
