Selecting a license server host
A license server host provides DevOps Code ClearCase® license access in a network. A license server host must be highly available to all hosts that rely on it for its licensing. Otherwise, those hosts become unable to run DevOps Code ClearCase®.
One or more hosts in the network can act as license server hosts. Note: The
configuration and behavior of multiple license server hosts varies, depending on the type of
licensing your site has chosen:
- If you are using IBM Common Licensing, see Configure IBM Common Licensing for information about configuring your license server host.
- If you are using ClearCase Licensing (also known as Atria Licensing) see Configure ClearCase Licensing for information about configuring one or more license server hosts.
- For Asynchronous Licensing, see Configure Asynchronous Licensing for information about configuring your license server host.
Administration is simpler when the license server and the registry server are on the same host.
