What's new in CICS® IA Version 6.1
CICS® IA Version 6.1 continues to support a wide range of capabilities and fully supports new CICS Transaction Server 6.3. Building on previous releases, CICS® IA Version 6.1 contains updates to reflect those commands for which CICS Transaction Server 6.3 has updated the threadsafe status allowing more applications to run without requiring a switch to QR TCB mode.
Export Report into HTML File Format
CICS IA has Threadsafe and Affinity reports stored and displayed through eclipse views under the Reports section in the IA Navigation view. This feature provides an option to export the respective Threadsafe and Affinity reports into HTML file format. Comparison of Resources
CICS IA transactions are associated with multiple resources named Programs, Transactions, Mapset, condition, text, etc. This feature provides an option to compare these resources. For more information refer to help available on the CICS IA plug-in, Help > Help Contents > CICS IA User Plug-in guide.
CICS IA VS Code Extension
CICS® IA 6.1 introduces a brand new vscode extension which integrates with the ZOWE explorer. Most of the important features of the Eclipse client are now available on the vscode extension. This will be enhanced further in the upcoming releases.
CICS IA Web Application
CICS® IA 6.1 introduces a new web client, where users can access the CICS IA features via a web interface. This client supports a small set of important features for now, and will be enhanced further in upcoming releases. Users can download the CICS IA Web application here.
Show the command EXEC CICS START with USERID parameter
Change the Command flow function as “START USERID” and function ID as “1009” for command EXEC CICS START with USERID parameter.
New Currency Support
- z/OS 3.1 Support :
Now you can install CICS® IA 6.1 on z/OS 3.1. For more details on changes in IBM z/OS V3R1.0, refer to IBM z/OS 3.1.0 documentation.
- Db2 13
