Procedure for restarting an Informatica PowerCenter workflow from the failed task
You can restart an Informatica PowerCenter workflow from the failed task, by using the Dynamic Workload Console.
About this task
Procedure
- From the navigation toolbar, click System Status and Health.
- In the Workload Monitoring section, click .
- From the engine drop-down list, select the name of the IBM Workload Scheduler engine connection from where you want to work with Informatica PowerCenter jobs.
- From the object type drop-down list, select the object type Job .
- From the drop-down list of defined tasks or queries for
monitoring jobs, select to display the related list of jobs. If you
have a predefined task to display Informatica PowerCenter jobs,
click that task. A list of jobs is displayed.

- Distributed environment
- The Job Type column displays PowerCenter Workflow details.

- z/OS environment
- The Advanced Job Type column displays PowerCenter Workflow details. To display the Advanced Job Type column in the table, edit the Task Properties and in Column Definition, add the Advanced Job Type column to the Selected Columns list. Move the column up to define the order of the column in the table and make it more visible.
- Click the hyperlink Workflow details.
The Workflow details panel opens.
- Select the action that you want to run either on the workflow
or on the single task (worklet task or session task):
- Confirm the action that you want to run.
