Specifying data masking permissions

Rational® Integration Tester permissions enable a project administrator to specify which users can create, modify, and delete data masks. This prevents unauthorized users from deleting data masks in a project and using sensitive data to create test assets.

About this task

Rational® Integration Tester supports project permissions that are based on users in a supported Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) implementation.

Note: Currently, the only LDAP implementation supported by Rational® Integration Tester is Active Directory.

Procedure

  1. Open the Project Settings window.
  2. Click the Permissions tab.
  3. Under Group or user names, click a user group or user (as applicable).
  4. Under Actions, you can perform the following tasks for the selected user group or user:
    • Expand Create (if required) and click the Allow or Deny check box (as applicable) next to Data Mask.
    • Expand Delete (if required) and click the Allow or Deny check box (as applicable) next to Data Mask.
    • Expand Modify (if required) and click the Allow or Deny check box (as applicable) next to Data Mask.
  5. Click OK.

Results

The specified data masking permissions are configured for the selected user group or user.
