Installing Rational® Test Virtualization Server

To use the capabilities of IBM® Rational® Test Virtualization Server, you must install the IBM® Rational® Integration Tester Agent in service virtualization mode, and optionally you can install the IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent for performance testing.

With Rational® Test Virtualization Server, you can use virtual services developed in IBM® Rational® Integration Tester to create, share, and deploy virtualized test environments. It includes the load-generation capability of IBM® Rational® Performance Test Server to support all stages of the application development and quality lifecycle, and includes the following components:
  • IBM® Rational® Integration Tester Agent
  • IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent
  • IBM® Rational® Test Control Panel
