Creating the Automation Server control data set

To create the Automation Server control data set, use member HSIASALC in the JCLLIB. This member is generated from the HSISCUST post-installation customization job.

Procedure

  1. Allocate sufficient space for the Automation Server to handle the workload required by the installation.
    One 96-byte record (including the 52-byte key) is required for each data set processed by the Automation Server.
  2. Create the control data set by running the HSIASALC job that contains the IDCAMS JCL and control statements.
  3. Using the ASCDS ddname, allocate the VSAM KSDS control data set to the Automation Server.
