The integration of Rational® Integration Tester with IBM® Rational Quality Manager enables the execution of Rational Integration Tester tests and suites in Rational Quality Manager centralized test management environment.
Working with resources in Rational Quality Manager
Once the IBM® Rational® Integration Tester-IBM Rational Quality Manager integration is complete, you can export tests and test suites from Rational Integration Tester into Rational Quality Manager. Exported tests and test suites are created as test cases and test scripts in Rational Quality Manager.

After you export tests or test suites into Rational® Quality Manager and the IBM® Rational Integration Tester adapter is configured, you can remotely run Rational Integration Tester resources.
Managing Rational® Integration Tester test execution parameters in Rational® Quality Manager
When you are running Rational® Integration Tester tests from an IBM® Rational Quality Manager server, you can send input parameters to, and receive output parameters from the agent computers that are running the tests. You can also chain together multiple Rational Integration Tester tests in Rational Quality Manager so that the output of one test can be input into another test.

You can export to an Rational® Integration Tester test to IBM® Rational Quality Manager. After the test is exported, it displays as a test script in a test case.

Exporting an Rational® Integration Tester test to Rational® Quality Manager

You can export to an Rational® Integration Tester test to IBM® Rational® Quality Manager. After the test is exported, it displays as a test script in a test case.

About this task

To export a test, do the following steps:

Procedure

In Rational® Integration Tester, in Test Factory, right-click a test, and then click Export. The Export Test window opens.
Select the Rational® Quality Manager integration and click OK. Rational® Quality Manager opens, and your test displays as a test script.
Configure and start an agent computer. For information, see Configuring Rational Integration Tester Agent as Rational Quality Manager adapter.
In Rational® Quality Manager, open the test in the test case and run the test case.
In the Run Test Case window, select Modify Execution Variable Value. The test displays under Test Script. Notice that the input tag information that you defined in Rational® Integration Tester displays.
Run the test. In the test results, notice that the output tag that you defined in Rational® Integration Tester displays in Execution Variables.
