IBM Rational Test Workbench
Use IBM® Rational® Test Workbench to create, modify, and run different kinds of tests and to organize test assets. The various components of Rational Test Workbench are described below.

About the installation
The IBM® Rational® Test Workbench installation package includes several products and components. These can be installed together or separately.
Planning the installation
Read the topics in this section before you begin to install or update any of the features of your product. Effective planning and an understanding of the key aspects of the installation process can help ensure a successful installation.
Managing licenses
IBM® Rational® Test Workbench products are installed with a 30-day trial license by default. You must upgrade the trial licenses to permanent licenses before the expiry of the 30-day trial period. Use the IBM Installation Manager Manage Licenses wizard to administer your licenses.
Installing Rational® Test Workbench
Install the IBM® Rational® Test Workbench offering or any of its components. Rational Test Workbench delivers end-to-end functional, regression, load, and integration testing to address the quality challenges of highly complex and integrated applications.
Installing in other modes
Use non-graphical modes such as console mode and silent mode to install the software.
Upgrading Rational® Test Workbench
When a new version of IBM® Rational® Test Workbench is available, you can upgrade your existing software installation to the new version. You might also be required to migrate your data to the new version.
Uninstalling software
Use IBM® Installation Manager to uninstall your product. If no other software products are installed, you can uninstall the IBM Installation Manager client, too.
