Configuring Apache Tomcat to use HTTP/TCP proxy
You must modify the Java™ virtual machine (JVM) so that Apache Tomcat can use an HTTP/TCP proxy. You can do this change by setting some JVM options in the Tomcat startup script.

To configure Apache Tomcat to use the HTTP/TCP proxy:
Procedure
- Configure the Tomcat startup script (
%CATALINA_HOME%\bin\catalina.bat
, if you use Microsoft™ Windows™; or$CATALINA_HOME/bin/catalina.sh
, if you use Unix-like systems), with theJAVA_OPTS
variable to set HTTP/TCP proxy properties as follows:SET JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Dhttp.proxyHost=<Host name or IP address of HTTP/TCP proxy> -Dhttp.proxyPort=<Port number specified during installation of Quaiity Server and/or editing registration.xml file, for example, 3128>
- Save and close the file.
- Restart Tomcat for the changes to take effect.
