Setting up an application link in the Jira server
You must set up an application link in the Jira server to establish a connection between the Jira server and Rational® Test Automation Server.
Before you begin
You must have completed the following tasks:
- Ensured that you are assigned the privileges of an administrator in Jira.

Generated a public key and a consumer key for the project in Rational® Test Automation Server and saved the keys in a text file. See Adding a Jira Software server URL.

Copied the URL of Rational® Test Automation Server.
Procedure
- Log in to the Jira server.
- Select any of the following options based on the method that you used to install the Jira server:

Perform the following steps to create the application link in the Jira server
that is installed on cloud:
- Click .
- Click Application links in the left navigation.
- Click Create link.
- Select Direct application link.
- Enter the URL of Rational® Test Automation Server in the Application URL field, and then click Continue.
- Verify the URL on the Configure Application URL dialog, and then click Continue.
- Go to Step 6.

Perform the following steps to create the application link in the on-premise
Jira server 8.21.x or earlier:
- Click
- Click Application links in the left navigation.
- Verify the URL on the Configure Application URL dialog, and then click Continue.
- Go to Step 6.

Perform the following steps to create the application link in the on-premise
Jira server 8.22.x or later:
- Click
- Click Application links in the left navigation.
- Click Create link, and then select Atlassian product as application type.
- Verify the URL on the Configure Application URL dialog, and then click Continue.
- Go to Step 6.

Perform the following steps on the Review link dialog to
provide the information about Rational® Test Automation
Server:

Click Continue.
The link to the application you configured in Jira is displayed on the Application links page.
