Configuring virtual IPs in stubs

After you create a virtual IP address, you can configure the virtual IP address as the server socket override bind address for the HTTP transport configured for the stubs.

Before you begin

You must have completed the following tasks:

Procedure

  1. Open the physical resource by using any of the following methods:
    • Right-click the logical resource or connection, and then click Physical Resource in the Logical View.
    • Click the physical HTTP transport in the Physical View.

    The Web Server dialog box is displayed.

  2. Click the Server tab.
  3. Enter the virtual IP address in the Bind Address field.
    For example, if you configured 10.134.59.4 as the virtual IP, enter 10.134.59.4 in the Bind Address field.
  4. Provide the details in the relevant fields that apply to your test.
  5. Click OK.

Results

You have successfully configured the virtual IP as a virtual server. The stub is hosted on the server with the virtual IP address and not on the real server.
