Modifying Rational® Test Control Panel security model settings after installation

This section explains how to modify IBM® Rational® Test Control Panel security model settings after installation.

About this task

Before installing Rational® Test Control Panel, it is a good idea to consider whether and how Rational® Test Control Panel users will be authenticated during login (for information about this, refer to Security model planning).

However, before and during installation of Rational® Test Control Panel, you may be unsure of security model requirements, or you may have insufficient information to enable you to configure (fully) your chosen security model option.

After installation, Rational® Test Control Panel provides administrators with the means to modify Rational® Test Control Panel security settings without having to reinstall the software.

To modify Rational® Test Control Panel security model settings after installation:

Procedure

  1. Open IBM® Installation Manager and click Modify.
  2. Select Rational® Test Control Panel package from the list to modify the package and click Next.
  3. In the RTCP Security Configuration page, select the required authentication mode from the Authentication Type list and click Next.
  4. Click Modify and then click Finish.
  5. Restart Rational® Test Control Panel service to ensure that any changes you have made take effect.

Results

The selected type of authentication mode is applied for the users to log in to Rational® Test Control Panel.
