This document is intended to help you in your preparations for GDPR readiness. It provides information about features of Rational Integration Tester / Rational Test Virtualization Server that you can configure, and aspects of the product's use, that you should consider to help your organization with GDPR readiness. This information is not an exhaustive list, due to the many ways that clients can choose and configure features, and the large variety of ways that the product can be used in itself and with third-party applications and systems.

Encryption at rest Database configuration is handled by the users / administrators (as applicable) of the software. If the database chosen supports encryption, then the administrator can choose to configure encryption settings as desired. Note that project files are not encrypted, with the exception of any stored passwords, which are encrypted at rest. Using a version control system that supports encryption can be used to alleviate any concerns around username credentials that are configured within project files. The use of an appropriate version control system can also add access control and permissioning.

Beyond credentials for connecting to test systems and hostnames of systems used to run tests/virtual services, Rational Integration Tester and Rational Test Virtualization Server do not store any client personal data.
However, using the products, the Client has the ability to store and transmit Client data that may contain personal information.
Client is strongly urged to use test data and not to use any personal data in the creation of tests to be processed by the products.
